On the Lamb

What an awfully dreary day it has been. I've swam to my local pub to write to you, as I was spiritually in need of a crisp beer colder than the chill in the air that we are all feeling at present. In this weather, theres two things I crave over anything else - samosa and sun. This time last year I couldn't move for both as I was living my best life in Goa. Now, in the cold semi-light of a stormy Liverpool I had to seek out one of the two today. My fear of cataracts from a sunbed outdoes my anxieties around cholesterol, so samosa hunting I would go.

What exactly is it that makes triangles so fucking delicious?! Doritos? Check. Pizza slices? Check. Vaginas? Easy now, white chocolate - this isn't that type of blog. In my honest opinion, the humble samosa is truly the tastiest trilaterial treat of 'em all. When we take into consideration both my unquenchable need for lamb on days like this, and the fact that I should run a triangle food fan club, I got me lippy on and excitably made my way to Lodge lane.

If anyone saw me crying at the 86 bus stop in the pissing down rain today, rest easy my sweet child - I was just winging about how top tier the pastry I had just savoured was. I had just downed a lamb samosa that tasted like it was crafted for a God. If you would have told me a few years back that the best snack in the South End was to be found in the Pivvy, i'd have called you a silly fool. Alas, here I am now, telling you exactly that. The supermarket, Umrah, now housed in what was the premier Bingo hall for everyones scouse nan for decades has the awnser. That is, if the question is "Global Scouser, just tell us about the fucking samosa, mate".

Laaaaaads.

Flakier than your ex, juicier than your next. Filled to the brim with flavour, meat and the hope of better days to come. This warmed by body and my spirits more than anything else. What is wild to me is that there has been recipies for these icosceles of joy from 10th century Persia. Thats years ago. Yet, the good things created by humanity will be sure to purserve and persist. In the case, such pleasantries can now be savoured in a Toxeth car park as you outwait the rain long enough to run back to your bus stop.

This write up has took SO long - I keep scrolling down the next picture and smiling my head off. I should have gotten more than one today, what an absolute fucking fool. Causing absolute murder with myself because I should have known better. Turns out you lose your common sense on the jab along with the weight.

Obviously, you shouldn't be taking my word for it, I'm just a certified weirdo with an unverified blog and an insatiable need to go on about food via jokes. But this beer has hit me right in the confidence - I'll monzo you the £1.10 back if you get your grimy claws on one from here and don't rate it as the best lammy sammy in the city. Send pics or it didn't happen.

In triangle we trust. Speak too you soon, friend. Thanks for checking in.
